Herzogenaurach, July 2016: adidas by Stella McCartney moves into Fall/Winter 2016 with a dynamic collection defined by targeted technology, feminine silhouettes and bold prints. Celebrating today’s strong, multi-faceted women, the Fall/Winter 2016 campaign encourages female athletes worldwide to break through the barriers and achieve new heights.
“This collection is inspired by the unique energy that drives modern, athletic women, while allowing them to express their own individual style. Each piece is designed to support women everywhere as they challenge themselves to strive for more and make an impact, whether that’s achieved through a new personal best or by taking on a new sport,” explains Stella McCartney.
The Fall/Winter 2016 collection is comprised of four distinct ranges, with each and every piece created with targeted technology and a discipline-specific design.
adidas by Stella McCartney Studio introduces its first dedicated High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) range, specifically built to support the most demanding studio workouts. Engineered with ClimaLite technology to draw sweat away from skin, the looks support those making the most of every workout. Graphic stripes, neon shades and leopard print trims dominate the aesthetic for a modern style that doesn’t compromise performance. Built for power and speed, the new Edge trainer facilitates extra agility and 360° multi-movements.
The Fall/Winter 2016 Run range, includes apparel and footwear designed for long-distance marathon training, as well as everyday runs. Engineered from featherweight material and highly functional moisture management fabrics, the ultra-lightweight Adizero apparel is built to enhance runners’ speed.
Climaheat technology keeps runners warm thanks to a hollow fibre construction that provides additional insulation, whilst reflective elements enhance visibility. Specifically designed for the female athlete, the PureBOOST X running shoe provides extra support and a sock-like fit, perfect for everyday running. The UltraBOOST shoe features a full-length BOOST midsole as thousands of energy infused BOOST™ foam capsules release energy with every stride.
“The adidas by Stella McCartney collaboration is an extraordinary collection that brings fashion and sports together in an authentic and credible way. The collaboration has pushed the boundaries of sportswear since its inception, redefining sporting style for women everywhere. The Fall/Winter 2016 Collection is our most technologically-advanced to date; it is the culmination of over ten years’ experience of fusing technology and style seamlessly together,” comments Nicole Vollebregt, Head of adidas Women’s division.
Yogis find their flow with this season’s seamless separates, designed with ClimaLite technology for ultimate comfort and freedom of movement in mind. Bold bamboo prints are featured throughout, while a complementary green and purple colour palette is contrasted by vibrant orange, staying true to Stella’s modern design aesthetic. Layered looks feature the Yoga Seamless Tight in Deepest Green designed with lux shine yarns for a perfectly tight fit.
Stand out on the slopes in striking metallics, bold colour blocking and sleek silhouettes infused with a technological edge to ensure maximum protection from the elements. ClimaProof provides breathable, waterproof and windproof protection. Climaheat technology uses best performance insulation to ensure winter athletes stay warm as breathable Climawarm technology keeps warmth in when it matters the most. The Wintersports Puffa Jacket in Silver Metallic with a boxy silhouette, double entry pockets, full zip opening underneath and high standing collar is built for cold winter days.
