adidas Originals presents two new iterations of its latest NMD silhouette, the NMD Racer, this month, decking the ‘80s-influenced NMD model out in a duo of striking new colorways.
The latest release of the NMD Racer presents the NMD series’ usual blend of technical design and visual appeal, featuring a textured Primeknit upper with welded overlays of the 3-Stripe mark, structured by a suede and TPU panel on the heel. Embroidered details on the heel add a touch of visual flare to the design, finished with an understated lacing system and a signature NMD heel pull. This is then placed on the NMD Racer’s bold reconfigured NMD sole unit, featuring an EVA plug insert at the heel and TPU stabilizers in the arch.
True to its source material, each shoe in the release has been rendered in an appropriately head-turning color palette. The first iteration steps out in a bold, Vivid Pink colorway with contrast black details and outsole, finished with accents on the arch stabilizers. The second version then assumes a more understated colorway, blending Ash Grey with Blue Tint with orange accents. Releasing globally on February 2nd, it’s a release that captures NMD’s powerful blend of classic and contemporary, framed in a duo of colorways that’s impossible to ignore.
