adidas Originals Reveals the King Push x EQT Running Guidance '93 in Collaboration with Pusha T
NEW YORK - Last night, adidas Originals hosted a release event for the King Push x EQT Running Guidance '93 sneaker hosted by rapper Pusha T in New York City. The event also served as a listening party to preview the forthcoming studio album 'King Push' from Pusha T, distributed through Def Jam Records.
Guests witnessed the first reveal of the 2015 EQT Running Guidance '93 black colorway in collaboration with Pusha T, a follow-up to the 2014 'Chalk White' EQT sneaker release. Conceptually, the event offered a deep-dive into the 'black market' underbelly of street culture in NYC tied to the hustling past of Pusha T - the design inspiration behind the collaboration.
The King Push x EQT Running Guidance '93 release is a continuation of the 2014 design inspiration, rounding out a story that is nostalgic to a 1990's hip-hop era inherent to the adidas Originals brand DNA, deeply rooted in hip-hop culture. The King Push x EQT Running Guidance '93 sneaker received a design update with premium materials including a translucent outsole with visible measuring lines, black midsole with tonal reflective 3 stripes, fish scale heel counter and cracked Italian leather detailing.
In an intimate setting, Pusha T personally offered a preview of tracks from his forthcoming 'King Push' studio album. Narrating his musical inspiration behind album tracks, guests received a rare glimpse into the creative process and moments in time that inspire Pusha T.
The King Push x EQT Running Guidance '93 black colorway will release on 'Black Friday' – November 27 at adidas.com/Originals and select retailers. The King Push x EQT Running Guidance '93 will retail for $200.
