adidas Unveils MLB All-Star Energy Boost Cleat
Kris Bryant of the Cubs and Hunter Renfroe of the Padres debuted the game changing cleat in the Futures Game last night and Chase Utley of the Phillies and Dellin Betances of the Yankees will wear in the Midsummer Classic tomorrow night. The MLB All-Star colorway was inspired by the game's host state and the "Land of 1000 Lakes," Minnesota. The cleat has a water-like, reflective print over adidas' Damascus upper with a solar blue and solar red color combo in a nod to the Minnesota Twins team colors. The sock liners feature nautical chart graphics and "Mid Summer Classic, July 15, 2014" to provide a commemorative element for our All-Stars. A limited run of the MLB All-Star colorway will be available later this week.
The first adidas non-running shoe to feature Boost, this new cleat brings endless energy and acceleration to the field when it matters most. Designed for the best athlete on the diamond – the five tool player – the adidas Energy Boost Icon baseball cleat features shockvent windows for maximum ventilation and an external heel clip for peak stability.
