NEW YORK (August 12, 2016) –adidas Originals announces the launch date of the new U.S. flagship store on Spring Street in New York City on August 17.
Situated in the heart of Manhattan's bustling SoHo neighborhood, the unique space will house a curated assortment of adidas Originals lifestyle product including limited-edition capsule collections and designer collaborations for men, women and children.
"The new adidas Originals flagship store concept has proven to add further momentum to our success story around the globe," explains Arthur Hoeld, General Manager of adidas Originals. "The store allows us to provide new and exciting experiences for our customers, in addition to celebrating the city they call home. We are happy to open this new flagship in New York City- an epicenter for creativity and culture."
The adidas Originals store will host curated events and installations on a regular basis in order to encourage localized experiences, create community among streetwear lovers and connect with urban culture enthusiasts. Joey Bada$$ and members of the Pro Era collective; Kirk Knight, CJ Fly, and Nyck Caution partnered with adidas Originals to create a special ZINE and accompanying video directed by Ahmed Klink, capturing the crew's experiences through music and how the city connects everyone through personal creativity. As part of the new store launch, a New York City specific colorway of the coveted NMD style will be available for purchase through the adidas Confirmed APP beginning August 15, reservations will be open to all 5 boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. Upon purchase, customers will be invited to pick up pairs of their reserved shoe at the new adidas Originals Flagship.
The adidas Originals Flagship Store is located at 115 Spring Street in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. Open to the public beginning August 17, 2016, Monday- Saturday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. EST, Sundays 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. EST.

Using an all-over knit construction as a base, the release develops the NMD blueprint with a vibrant red camo upper, while the NMD's signature TPU heel tab reads 'NEW YORK' instead of the customary 'brand with three stripes'. Embroidery on the sockliner of each right shoe is numbered 001 to 200 while the left sockliner is embroidered with 200 – the total number of pairs available.
How CONFIRMED works:
Step 1: Register for a release by creating an adidas Originals account and selecting a preferred size.
Step 2: The consumer will receive a push notification when reservations open, then tap the button to check availability of preferred size and size range.
Step 3: When a successful reservation confirmation is received via the app, the consumer will be notified of the time and store pick up location.
Step 4: Go to the designated location to complete purchase and pick up the product.
