adidas and the FIGC today unveil the ITALY 1970’s Jersey, a tribute to one of the most iconic decades in Azzurri history.
With this release, adidas revisits the FIGC’s heritage through a collector’s jersey that celebrates a pivotal era—one that helped shape the global identity of the Italian National Team. Designed for fans of the Azzurri and lovers of vintage football culture alike, the ITALY 1970’s Jersey draws inspiration from the classic shirts worn during a golden age of Italian football.
In homage to the spirit of 1970s football in Italy, the jersey features the historic National Team crest used during that decade and the word “ITALIA” stands out in golden yellow above the iconic Tricolore shield. Completing the look, the white adidas Trefoil—outlined in black—sits on the left chest, underscoring the jersey’s authentic, heritage-driven aesthetic.
The ITALY 1970’s Jersey was unveiled last night, Thursday, February 26, by Italian football legend Alessandro Del Piero during the “Unexpected” show, where adidas marked its presence at Milan Fashion Week by an immersive experience that redefines the dialogue between sport, fashion, music, and culture in a unique show with an entirely new perspective.
The ITALY 1970’s Jersey is available starting today, February 27, at adidas stores, selected retailers, FIGC stores, and online at adidas.com and FIGC.it.
