For FW19, adidas Originals has teamed up with world-leading technical fabric brand Gore-Tex to create a cold-weather ready iteration of the beloved Stan Smith silhouette, using the brand’s latest insulation technology to create the Stan Smith x Gore-Tex Infinium™ Thermium™ model.
 
 
The latest innovation to be developed by Gore-Tex, Infinium Thermium is a super-thin membrane that is integrated into the toebox to provide vital insulation where it’s needed most, while allowing the rest of the foot to breathe.
 
Integrating this technology into the Stan Smith silhouette, adidas Originals has rendered the iconic tennis shoe in its original form, featuring an all-white leather upper with a contrast green Trefoil logo heel tab and a classic white rubber cupsole. Perforated 3-stripe marks and signature Stan Smith tongue branding complete the picture, while a Gore-Tex branded woven label and embossed Gore-Tex Infinium logo on the heel underpin the shoe’s technical pedigree.
 
Blending the latest in cold-weather innovation with one of the world’s most beloved white leather sneakers, adidas Originals and Gore-Tex Infinium Thermium create the perfect style-conscious response to the cold weather conditions of winter.
 
The Stan Smith x Gore-Tex Infinium Thermium releases worldwide on October 5th.
