adidas Originals’ P.O.D. S3.1 silhouette receives a new material and color treatment this month, pushing the shoe’s fearless blend of footwear tech even further forward.

For its latest release, the P.O.D. S3.1 model features an adaptive Primeknit construction across the upper, bolstered by suede overlay details including the lace panel and 3-stripe mark. The shoe’s black upper is then accented with bungee elastic details on the heel and tongue, placed atop the shoe’s distinctive split midsole, featuring supportive EVA rubber in the forefoot and Boost cushioning in the heel.

Completing the shoe’s nostalgic ‘90s design language, the P.O.D. S3.1 model’s split midsole is connected by an enlarged Torsion™ bridge across the midfoot. For this iteration, the bridge has been rendered in an iridescent color, contrasting with the shoe’s understated black and white core colorway. The end result is a release that subtly emphasizes one of the P.O.D. S3.1 silhouette’s most understated visual elements; a throwback to one of the golden ages of fearlessly technical sneaker design.

The POD S3.1 will be available April 4th, 2019.
