adidas Originals presents the latest collection of apparel, footwear and accessories from adidas SPEZIAL. The SS19 range features a vibrant collection of iconic adidas staples, reinterpreted and updated for a modern audience.
Drawing from London’s rich heritage within adidas collector culture, the collection - released across two drops - uses Robert “Brooksy“ Brooks' personal adidas collection and his life in the capital as a source of inspiration.
Drop one features the SL80 (A) SPZL, designed in a new bright orange colorway, as well as two new iterations of the Whalley SPZL, as well as a Norfu SPZL model, and AS 520 SPZL. The ZX530 SPZL, a continuation of the original SPEZIAL footwear release, is inspired by a personal favorite shoe from Robert’s own collection.
This season’s apparel continues the theme with the bright orange Wardour military jacket, aimed squarely at SPEZIAL’s loyal terrace consumer, and the Gilbraith overshirt in clear blue which, alongside the Banktop overhead hooded top, combines utilitarianism with SPEZIAL’s commitment to traditional adidas design language. Other highlights include the Anton parka and McAdam tracksuit as modern, tailored interpretations of the classic adidas Beckenbauer tracksuit. The standout Lymwood jersey, a football-inspired piece, features a sublimated mod trefoil repeater pattern in the fabric.
A SPEZIAL baseball cap in collegiate navy, with a simplistic Adidas SPEZIAL box logo also accompanies the collection.
The first installment of the adidas SPEZIAL SS19 collection will launch March 8th, 2019.
