Re is for RETRO: Kicking off A-ZX Series with re-release of the ZX 1000C from the late 80’s

adidas Originals kicks off this year’s A-ZX series with a bang. The first letter to be unveiled is the R, standing for RETRO, a tribute to the brand’s iconic archive, featuring the first ever re-release of the ZX 1000C model from the late 80’s. Maintaining the same color scheme of the original’s, the sneaker celebrate its legacy with the past.
A white dual material upper pairing synthetic suede and nylon mesh is complemented by details executed in black and the typical adidas Originals blue for the 3 stripes, the heel and the toe box. The vintage look is brought to the next level by the cream-white outsole, the pastel yellow execution of the Torsion system and the iconic lime green Torsion lacelock. Looking into the past, the adidas Originals ZX 1000C RETRO sneaker sets its footprint at the starting block of the A-ZX Series.
