July 2 2010 'THE SACRIFICE' Uruguay 1 Ghana 1 (Uruguay won 4-2 on penalties) Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg Striker Luis Suarez turned goalkeeper in the last minute of extra time to keep Uruguay in the 2010 FIFA World Cup TM. A penalty was awarded and Suarez was shown the red card but Ghana hit the bar the resulting spot-kick and Uruguay won through to the last-four after a tense penalty shoot-out.
